In our art classes this year we will study: The elements of Art (experimenting with lines, mixing colors, sketch and draw a still life, work with texture); The principles of art (shape, balance, variety, harmony, emphasis, proportion; we will create masks, tessellation, etc.); Different Art media and techniques (collage, sculpture, drawings, paintings, prints). Our main topic of discussions: Art through the ages (Eastern Art), Abstraction in art, Impressionism in Art, Art Criticism, Architectural Design. Media will be used in our lessons: clay, crayons, fibers, markers, mixed media, chalks, paper-mache, watercolors. Please visit our school to see what our students learned and created.
